Old Pauline Golfing Society

The Old Pauline Golfing Society is a thriving collection of enthusiastic golfers of all shapes, sizes, standards and ages. We have one thing in common, apart from our School connection - we enjoy our golf, the courses on which we play and good company.
Apart from three meetings and eleven friendly team matches the Society participates in three tournaments open to former pupils of public schools - the Halford Hewitt, the Grafton Morrish and the Cyril Gray. The Society also enters the Royal Wimbledon "Public Schools Old Boys" putting tournament.
The Halford Hewitt is by far the most prestigious. The preliminary rounds are held at Deal and Sandwich and the final two days at Deal only. These are seaside links courses and, given the general early April weather on the Kent coast, are a great test of golf. The Society has a special fund to assist those who, perhaps at university or just starting out in work, can't afford the hotel and associated expenses.
"Whilst the 'Old Boy' tournaments present the serious side of OP golf, the meetings and matches are of a more light-hearted nature. The meetings comprise singles Stableford in the morning and foursomes in the afternoon - all social golf, played on excellent courses. For members aged under 25 subscription (£20) and meeting charges are discounted by 50%.
New members of any standard will be assured a very warm welcome.
